Library outlines plan as COVID-19 restrictions are lifted
Submitted by Library Allard
The “new” normal that everyone is trying to get used to has been challenging to say the least. It’s challenging for families, business owners, and society in general. Library Allard’s focus is the health and well-being of the staff and our patrons. That being said, things are going to be different moving forward. We are doing our best to keep patrons informed with changes and are implementing new policies and procedures. Please continue to check our website http://www.allardlibrary.com and Facebook page for updates.
We’re OPEN for “pick up” only service
Bibliothèque Allard Library will open to the public effective May 13th for ‘pickup’ only. Patrons may check our online catalogue https://mall.mb.catalogue.libraries.coop/eg/opac/login and place a hold on books (effective May 8th), send an email to email@example.com or call Tuesdays and Thursdays between 10 am and 1 pm to request books. You will be notified when your choices are ready for pickup. To find out your user name and password to place a hold on a book please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com for assistance.
Programming will begin strictly online
Moving forward, the library will have our programs/events online. We are hoping patrons will reach out if they have trouble finding what they’re looking for. Online programming will be an activity or session available from the comfort of your own home.
In May, we have an Online Colouring Contest running all month long! Simply go to our website to find the details and the colouring pages. There are 5 to pick from. You will print one off, have your children colour it, and submit it to firstname.lastname@example.org OR send me a photo in Messenger.
In June, we will be posting information about our upcoming Summer Reading Program!
