On September 5, 2020, at approximately 9:00 am, Powerview RCMP responded to a report that a badly damaged vehicle was located in a pit of a construction site, on Highway 11, just outside Powerview.

It is believed that sometime during the night, the vehicle entered the construction site, rolled and collided with construction materials.

The driver and single occupant, a 60-year-old female, from Great Falls, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The RCMP did not give the name of the victim.

The construction site completely blocks Highway 11 and is a deeply excavated area. While the construction continues traffic is diverted down Dupont Street then back to Highway 11 on the other side of the construction zone, via Thomas Drive.

Powerview RCMP along with a Forensic Reconstructionist, continue to investigate.
