Powerview RCMP execute four search warrants and seize drugs, weapons and cash

On December 10, 2020, at approximately 1:00 pm, the Powerview RCMP along with the assistance of East District Crime Reduction Enforcement Support Team and Police Dog Services, executed four search warrants at 4 different residences on Dupont Street and Louise Street, in the town of Powerview.

Officers seized approximately 100 grams of crystal methamphetamine, other unknown substances, Canadian currency, weapons and gang paraphernalia. Officers also recovered a stolen snowmobile.

Twelve people were arrested and eight are facing charges

  • Charles Boyd, 48, of Winnipeg has been charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking x2, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime x2, Possession of Weapons Contrary to order and Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose x3. He was remanded into custody.
  • Jeffrey Simard, 48, of Powerview has been charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, Possession of Weapons Contrary to order, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose x4 and Fail to Comply x2. He was remanded into custody.
  • Marvel Gammon, 51, of Powerview has been charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and was remanded into custody.
  • Stacey Bruyere, 32, of Sagkeeng First Nation has been charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and Failing to Comply, and was remanded into custody.
  • Leanne Houston, 36, from the RM of Alexander has been charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and Failing to Comply, and was remanded into custody.
  • Two adult females and an adult male are facing a charge of Possession of Methamphetamine and were released with upcoming court dates.

Powerview RCMP continue to investigate.
