Roberta Laliberté Art Show Wine and Cheese Opening Night

On Wednesday May 31st, the St-Georges Historical Society, along with Bibliothèque Allard Regional Library held a Wine and Cheese opening night for the temporary exhibit featuring the work of local artist Roberta Laliberté.

Roberta, who was born and raised in Pine Falls, started at a young age. She is a self-taught artist who, over the years, has experimented with a multitude of techniques through watercolors, illustrations, digital arts, textile designs and a few more.
In 2010, she was selected by the Maison des Artistes and Heritage Canada for a joint Public Art Installation called “The Storybook Garden”. It now proudly hangs in the Library Allard in St-Georges, MB.

Since 2012 she has been working with schools in Southeastern Manitoba and Winnipeg doing Art Smarts programs and grant programs through Heritage Canada. Her students range from Kindergarten all the way to grade 12.

In 2014, Roberta graduated from the Community Arts Coordinator Program through ACI Manitoba. She also teaches via video through her web site which features online workshops.

Roberta has also had her works on display in several exhibits throughout Winnipeg as well.

The Wine and cheese event was well received with several of her beautiful works of Art being sold that night.

The Exhibition of her work will run from June 1st-30th at the Library. If you haven’t had a chance to view her beautiful pieces of art, please do so, because you wont be disappointed. Maybe you will be lucky enough to purchase one of her one of a kind pieces for your very own.
