Powerview School celebrates I Love to Read Month every year in February. During this time, students are involved in activities that promote and celebrate reading in their daily lives.
In addition to their own classroom activities, the students also participated in class-to-class reading activities.
In the school library, students played book bingo. Students chose books and filled in their category (e.g. factory/non-fiction) and as soon as they got a black out, they were entered to win a prize!
Students had story time daily in the library and the PVS teachers & staff shared their favourite books with all the students by displaying the book and why it make them happy in the display case near the office.
