On March 21st, 2019, The Pineview Saints took on the Mitchell Mohawks in the winner-take-all game three of their best of three series. The Pineview Saints were the favourites coming into the playoffs, having not lost a game all regular season, with a sterling 7-0-1 record. The Mohawks were no slouches however, as they finished the regular season in second place with a 6-1-1 record.
In the first round of the playoffs, Pineview beat Landmark 5-1 in game one of their series, shockingly lost game two 1-0, and stormed back to win game 3, 3-1. Mitchell on the other hand, annihilated Rat River by a combined score of 20-4 over two games. This set up a dream matchup between the top two teams in the league.
Pineview took game one with a convincing 8-4 victory. The Mohawks showed no quit in game 2 and won a close one 4-3. This all set up the aforementioned winner-take-all game in Pine Falls. The Saints took an early lead before the Mohawks made a valiant comeback effort, only to fall short thanks to a couple of key saves by Saints goaltender Markus Sharpe. The Saints held on and took home the banner with a 6-4 victory.
