Popcorn and Paint event delightful

The Ecole Powerview School Parent Advisory Council (PAC) has been very busy behind the scenes this past year. While undertaking a massive fundraising endeavor to get the outdoor arena operational and rejuvenate the playground and basketball courts, they have also been working to enhance student/family experiences within the school setting. While the school setting is the location behind the events, the projects are applicable to the community as a whole. The PAC strongly believes that when the school is properly supported, students and families become happier and healthier as well. This trickles into the community and provides a positive environment for us all to learn and grow in.

On Friday May 10, PAC held their first “popcorn and paint” family night. For a fee of $10, painters were provided with a pre-chosen wooden project, paints, unlimited popcorn and beverages. 24 children and adults came out to enjoy the evening personalizing their own pieces of artwork. Given the huge success of the evening, you can bet there will be more activities like this planned in the future.
