On November 5, 2019, the two remaining bodies, the 42-year-old male passenger from Winnipeg and the 39-year-old male pilot from Bissett, were located in Family Lake. The body of the pilot was recovered from the water on November 4 and efforts have been underway since then to recover the body of the 42-year-old.

On October 26 RCMP in Little Grand Rapids said that at around 8:40 am, they received a report of a plane crash, 110 kilometers north of Bissett.

The plane, a DeHavilland Otter, was owned by Blue Water Aviation piloted by Johnathon Friesen, an experienced pilot who had flown for Blue Water Aviation for over 15 years.

The investigation has now been turned over to the Transportation Safety Board of Canada.
