A fire broke out in a house in St. Georges, on Annette Avenue late on Wednesday night, January 16. By midnight the house was completely engulfed in flames. Dave Fontaine and his family were living in the house but no one was hurt in the blaze. Firefighters were unable to get the fire under control and the home was burned to the ground.

The family lost everything in the fire and there has been a GoFundMe page set up to support the family. If you would like to contribute, this link will take you to the Dave Fontaine Family Fund. The page noted that the Fontain family “lost thousands in household goods, electronics, and irreplaceable family heirlooms. Everything dear to them is gone.” The page went on to say that donations will go towards food, replacement clothing, regular essentials, “and ultimately a roof over their heads.”

The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
