Residents along the Winnipeg River, between the Pine Falls Generating Station and the Great Falls Generating Station, may notice lower than usual water levels October 9 to 19 as Manitoba Hydro performs maintenance work on two turbines at the Pine Falls Generating Station.

The Pine Falls forebay will be drawn down by as much as 0.5 meters about October 9th and will remain down for the duration for the maintenance work. Water leves would return to normal levels no later than October 19. This reduction will affect Winnipeg River and tributary levels between the Pine Falls and Great Falls dams.
